Looking where to go this 4th of July?

July 4th—a defining date in the history of the US and eagerly celebrated every year and especially this year, coming out of the global pandemic, it is particularly anticipated. As we all prepare to get out and thoroughly enjoy this summer and the holiday, everyone has their own way of celebrating. Whatever your budget, we host a range of options on HotelsCurated that will best align to the ideal experience you are seeking. To get you started on your trip planning, below are our top picks to enjoy the 4th of July this year…

1 — The Hamptons

Only a two hour drive east of New York City and you are in anything but a city. The Hamptons are a group of towns, villages, and hamlets concentrated on the eastern end of Long Island and extend another 50 miles to the tip of the island. Offering a mix of white sand beaches with ocean breezes, farms for fresh fruit and vegetables, a laid-back vibe, historic charm, and, of course, exclusivity. It is the most popular escape from the city and, for the 4th of July weekend, it is one of the most engaging weekends of the year.

2 — Orlando

A magical place for a magical time of year where fireworks are synonymous with both Disney World and the 4th of July. Even though the city was built on theme park fame, it has grown to be more than just playgrounds inspired by fabled stories and creative concepts. Nowadays, you have a variety of attractions such as world-famous restaurants, sporting event venues, amazing concerts, theatrical performances, high-end outlet shopping centers, and other interesting and even quirky spots like Madame Tussauds Orlando. With many attractions and museums to visit, spas and water sport centers, and more, this city has everything children, teenagers, and adults can enjoy during this special weekend of the summer.

3 — Miami

Miles of white sand beaches, year-round sunshine, buzzing dining scene, and vibrant art and culture, Miami is probably the only place in the US that fits this description. A true hotspot and one that has only grown exponentially since the pandemic and it doesn’t look like it is slowing down anytime soon. Spending your holiday weekend here or, frankly, any other weekend throughout the year will give you the energy that this town exudes.

Just a couple of hours drive north of Manhattan, this scenic mountain region and its tranquil surroundings gives visitors a break from the hectic energy of the city. Accommodations range from rustic charm to luxurious comforts with easy-to-find farm-to-table restaurants. In addition to nature, there are two cultural destinations that will round-out your trip—one is Dia Beacon, one of the largest contemporary art museums in the country and the other is Storm King, which boasts large-scale outdoor sculptures blending art and nature into one experience.
