Just two hours north of New York City, this scenic mountain region and its tranquil surroundings gives visitors a break from the hectic energy of Manhattan. Accommodations range from rustic charm to luxurious comforts with easy-to-find farm-to-table restaurants. In addition to nature, there are two cultural destinations that will round-out your trip—one is Dia Beacon, one of the largest contemporary art museums in the country and the other is Storm King, which boasts large-scale outdoor sculptures blending art and nature into one experience. The Catskills are an easy destination for a quick weekend getaway from the city or a much-needed vacation.

Just 80 miles east of New York City, you reach the beginning of the Hamptons which are a group of towns, villages, and hamlets concentrated on the eastern end of Long Island and extend another 50 miles to the tip of the island. Offering a mix of white sand beaches with ocean breezes, farms for fresh fruit and vegetables, a laid-back vibe, historic charm, and, of course, exclusivity. However diverse your interests are, the one thing everyone has in common about this area is that it is an escape from the city.

Grand Canyon National Park, AZ
A new ‘crush’ with an old acquaintance is Arizona which holds some of our most beloved US National Parks. Despite the recent surge in travelers to the expanses of these parks, this is still a great time to be outside and immerse yourself in the vast and diverse landscape of the US and, particularly, in Arizona. The ever-trending, mystical Sedona is a must-see but Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon National Park are a real hidden gem. We cannot promise that you will have the park to yourself but we can say that it will be worthwhile to enjoy the great outdoors with easily accessible accommodations.

For decades, Cancun, on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, has been a staple destination for Americans looking for a nearby tropical beach getaway. Even though Cancun is synonymous with ‘spring break’ and the positive or negative associations connected to that term, it is still a worthwhile vacation spot for all who are craving the sun, white sand beach, and aquamarine-colored water. Travelers will find that there is something for everyone, including families with children, and that there is a reason this special place is frequented by so many visitors.
